The Parking Lot - BRAND & IDENTITY DESIGN

The Parking Lot was book about the history of Yerba Buena Gardens. The design alludes to a lot of the 1970s style typography that might have been found around the parking lot before it was retrofitted into Yerba Buena.

One of the chapters in The Parking Lot was a chapter that included interviews of strangers visiting the park. Each interviewee had their name handwritten in an idiosyncratic nature, and the last page of that chapter (top left) featured a collage of all the people I saw in the park.

TAnother chapter of the book which see’s a change in the texture of the paper is a chapter dedicated to the history of Yerba Buena Gardens. This part of the book featured archived photographs, maps, and background information about the different plot of lands that occupied the space prior to Yerba Buena Gardens.
